2022 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Limo will be launched in India on March 3

The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class (Z223) is set to launch in India on March 3. The opulent limo should be offered here in two trim levels: S 580 4MATIC and S 680 4MATIC. The Maybach S-Class gets a 180mm longer wheelbase compared to the V223 S-Class (long wheelbase).
Along with the wider wheelbase, the Maybach version of the luxury limo also benefits from larger rear doors as well as a range of exclusive cosmetic upgrades including the signature Maybach grille, unique wheel designs, additional chrome treatment and the Maybach logo which is placed on the C-pillars.
The ever-so-plush cabin of the standard S-Class will also carry over to the Maybach version, but with unique Maybach upholstery, trim inserts and graphics for the touchscreen and digital instrument panel. We expect the Maybach S-Class to come in a four-seat layout with two individual rear seats separated by a full-length floor console.
Some standard features could include power rear seats, a seat massage function and a boss mode that moves the front passenger seat fully forward, tilts the left rear seat and extends the footrest to make you feel even more comfortable. The Maybach S-Class is expected to carry over the standard S-Class equipment list with additional kit and a ton of extra options.
In international markets, Mercedes offers the S 580 with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 503PS and 700Nm of torque, paired with the 48V EQ Boost mild-hybrid system capable of delivering an extra boost of 20 hp and 200 Nm. On the other hand, the S 680 draws its power from a 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo engine developing 612 hp/900 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission with the system standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is expected to cost more than Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom). The S 580 4MATIC is expected to be assembled locally, while the S 680 4MATIC will likely be a direct import.
