2023 BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Leak Ahead of Global Unveiling
Images of the upcoming 2023 BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine have been leaked in full ahead of its global unveiling this year. The long wheelbase limo received many styling changes on the exterior, especially the alloy wheels.
The existing BMW 3 Series made its world debut 4 years ago. Later, the German manufacturer introduced the 3 Series Gran Turismo, a more premium version of the 3 Series. After its successful passage, BMW later replaced it with the current 3 Series Gran Limousine.
Developed primarily for India and China, the Gran Limousine is longer than the regular model with an extended wheelbase. The updated car was only launched in India in January 2021 and now we have the 2023 model almost ready to be unveiled and launched.
From the leaked images, we can see a lot of updates on the outside, but they’re not to the point of calling it a generation change. It’s more of a facelift. The interior has yet to be revealed.
On the outside, the refreshed 3 Series Gran Limousine gets new headlights each with two LED segments resembling 4 eyes from the front.
Luckily, BMW didn’t tweak the grille much because it stays small and beautiful. It gets a chrome finish that matches the color of the drls well. Its pattern varies depending on the variant selected.
The bumpers have been reworked to make them big and bold. The new set of alloy wheels looks fresh and striking. The spokes are thinner than the existing model, giving a sporty look from the side, helped by the extra length of the car.
Large surfaces like the hood and doors have subtle detailing and bulges like the existing model, which makes the overall design look a bit cluttered. At the rear, you could see dual exhausts which again provide a sporty look.
The limo is expected to carry over existing gasoline, diesel and hybrid powertrains.
As for launch timelines, we can expect the 3 Series Gran Limousine to go on sale in India by the end of this year or early next year. The price could be around Rs 55 lakhs (ex-showroom).
